Teaser Smolder Expediçao Peru – Episodio 2 // Strapless Kitesurfing
The Smolder Integrando Fronteiras landed in Peru, considered the wave pool of the Pacific. In this paradise for sports with the board, we have the possibility to surf a perfect sea in the morning and after noon enjoy the regular 20 knots wind to sail kitesurf. As the days go by our team will be seeking to integrate with the local culture, to decipher and reveal secrets that make this place so magical and mystical.
After 5 days in the region of Pacasmayo, we are already accustomed to the day-to-day Peru and drawing plans on our next exploration involving the team and kite surfing.
With a good swell announced, Celio Beleza and Bruno Bordovsk are facing beaches like El Faro and Poemape. Loro, our Tuc Tuc driver, led the team to perfect and powerful waves. He was extremly caring and he gave us some useful tips to takeoff and land kites between rocks and corals. Then came the sail in a shallow sheet of water that surround the entire Peruvian coast.
“The feeling was unique, because even with all this tension in the air, the energy of natural elements was the reward for the athletes,” says Celio Beleza still in exaltation.
Bruno Bordovsk says that “the thrill of sailing these waves is indescribable. It’s something you never did! “
After sailing, Loro our guide, led the entire team to paddle and learn a little of the history of the horse Totora. This type of vessel designed by the Inca civilization, is made of totora reeds and used to practice fishing, surfing explorations. The men go into the sea paddling with a rudimentary piece of bamboo (rowing), and return to land riding the wave.
ALOHA,
Celio Beleza
