WHO AM I ft. Elias Ouahmid – Diogo Cardoso

Diogo Cardoso : “In October 2020 i’ve drove down to Tarifa to meet with Elias Ouahmid. The plan was to shoot a film having fun in the water with his team riders but a conjunction of factors made that we were the only two guys there when the conditions turned out to be favourable. Because of that, we finished up shooting a completely different film from what i had imagined and, to be honest, i can’t really complain about how things turned out. We ended up shooting a film about his relationship with the ocean, what it means to be a german kid growing up with a strong moroccan heritage and the different layers that shape Elias mind when he’s out there riding.

Finally, for me personally it was pretty rewarding to work with a rider who is engaged and thrilled to add his input to the storyline side of the shoot, making the final result a product of his own vision and not only the filmmaker’s mind. Hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it.”
