P5 Kite Open opens 2018 season

The beautiful Future Beach in Fortaleza city received at the P5 Beach Club point, the P5 Kite Open, opening event of the Ceara tour and that counted on the best kitewave riders of the state.

Considered the beach with the most constant condition of wind and waves of the state, always combining the intense wind characteristic of that period to its hospitable people, it made that the main kitewave riders in action gave a show!

In the qualifiers, which took place on friday, we had strong winds and great waves, making riders use their entire arsenal of gear. Already on Saturday the wind diminished the pressure and with the heavy waves made the finals stages more exciting and disputed.

The stage had excellent technical Staff formed by the new management of the AKC – Ceara Kitesurf Association) and led by Jean Fred, leaving the more balanced and fair hits.

In Wave Pro, the constant Matheus Silva won, leaving Célio Beleza, a local rider who comes with full strength to try another season title in the second place and Thiago Martins and Bruno Lima in third place.

Gustavo Foerster who was on an inspired day earned first place at Wave Master. Second place was Marcos Santos, third Fernando Nunes and fourth Renato Rosário.

Juliano Rodrigues sent very well and confirmed the favoritism for the Wave Amateur, guaranteeing the title. They completed the podium the local rider Patrick Sousa in second, Djaci Morais in third and Vitor Moura in fourth.

Great riders completed the competition’s brilliance, such as: Ygon Maia, Marquinhos de Pernambuco, Thiago Accioly and Sandro Bessa, who presented a strong and competitive backside. Jamil Farah and Leonardo de Canoa, also showed good hits in the critic and they saw with everything this year. Certainly the most important thing is to gather all this people in a great party for the kitesurf.
