Anyone who has been to Sal, knows how beautiful the Pedra do Lume salt fields are. It’s been in the back of my mind for years to shoot kiting on those colourful shallow pounds circled by a huge crater, but it never really came together. In February 2019, me and Ricardo Pinto teamed up with Paulino Pereira in Cape Verde to uncover some sweet riding spots hidden away from the crowds and luckily we managed to get the permission to ride that amazing lunar-like spot. Along with some great barreling swells and empty flat water spots, we scored more than enough epic shots to make the trip memorable.
